In honor of the Girl Scouts of the USA’s centennial celebration, Vme, America’s Spanish TV alternative, has partnered with the long-standing organization to kickoff a yearlong initiative to support their ‘ToGetHerThere (Juntos Por Ella)’ campaign, the largest advocacy and fundraising movement dedicated to developing leadership in young girls in our nation’s history. Proudly declaring 2012 the “Year of the Girl,” GSUSA hopes to motivate and encourage individuals, corporations, governments and organizations to do their part to help break the barriers young girls face in today’s world. Vme plans to help commemorate this milestone anniversary by developing PSAs featuring their new CEO, Anna Maria Chávez, and highlighting girl scouts and their activities. This campaign will be broadcast and hosted online as well. Vme will also host a “Mentoring Day” where girl scouts will receive and take part in their own PSA recording, and create a website campaign that will direct viewers to the Spanish version of the ‘ToGetHerThere’ website, JuntosPorElla.org.
