NGLC Founder & Chairman, David Chitel is considered by many to be a pioneer in the New Generation Latino media and entertainment space. Along with business partner, actor John Leguizamo, in 2001 David created the first Latino social network community, iCaramba.com. Over the next 5 years, David evolved parent company, LatCom Communications, into a leading 360 degree integrated service provider helping Fortune 500’s reach New Generation Latinos through live events, magazines, online and guerrilla marketing. He sold LatCom to Batanga.com, the #1 Latin music online destination (now Batanga Network). During his tenure, David separately founded and chaired the New Generation Latino Consortium (NGLC), an organization dedicated to hosting B2B conferences, fielding breakthrough Latino research studies and providing marketing consultation services. He also served as creator, writer, and producer of the first Latino animated TV series, ‘Lugar Heights’, currently airing on MTV-Tr3s. David’s career began at SiboneyUSA Hispanic advertising where he generated over $20MM in new revenue in his role as Director of Client Services and New Business.
