Juanes Partners with MetroPCS and ZTE on Loud & Unplugged Tour

MetroPCS Communications, Inc., and ZTE announced that they will serve as title sponsors for Juanes’ highly-anticipated Loud & Unplugged Tour, which the Latin Music superstar will kick-off on May 17th in Bakersfield, California.

“This last year has been one of the most creatively rewarding points of my career, and now playing live each night in this style– up close and personal with our audience – is a joy. Every show feels like a celebration filled with new musical highpoints onstage, and I’m grateful for MetroPCS and ZTE for helping us share these special evenings with fans,” said Juanes.

MetroPCS and ZTE’s partnership with Juanes kicks off this evening with an exclusive private concert in Los Angeles for 600 lucky fans, and will culminate with Juanes’ coast-to-coast Loud & Unplugged Tour – where a limited number of fans will win the chance to meet the superstar in person. Throughout the tour, MetroPCS and ZTE will provide consumers with a chance to interact with Juanes through a series of live Facebook chats, MetroPCS store appearances, ticket giveaways, access to pre-concert sound checks, behind-the-scenes video blogs and other exclusive content. Fans also will be able to outfit their phones with downloadable mobile wallpaper and special voicemail greetings from the artist.

“Music is at the very core of our customer’s interests, and this partnership gives us the opportunity to bring one of the biggest names in the industry to our customers nationwide in a unique, exciting way,” said Phil Terry, senior vice president, corporate marketing for MetroPCS.

“At ZTE, we are focused on providing the latest in mobile phone functionality and style to give customers the most cutting-edge technology to express themselves and indulge their interests, including their passion for music, said Lixin Cheng, CEO of ZTE USA. “By co-sponsoring this tour, we are giving them an opportunity to get up close and personal with one of today’s most popular artists.”
