J.Lo Goes Viral

It’s not unusual for there to be hashtags about our CCO Jennifer Lopez. But the #GetJenniferThere trend is especially unique. This one lets fans send Jennifer to the American Music Awards through a special “Choose Your Own Adventure” campaign.

The entire idea was cooked up by Kohl’s department store. Apparently they’ve filmed all kinds of Jennifer scenarios (including motorcycle stunts, dynamite explosions and fistfights) and are letting the fans decide how she’ll #Get to the show.

Votes will be taken in real time during the AMA’s and work off new JLO-inspired hashtag trends. #JLoHitch is one for example, as is #JLoRoofRun (the one we’re most excited about is #JLoJailBreak). As you might expect, it all leads to some interesting Jennifer Kohl’s stuff too. According the store, she’ll have a new jewelry line debuting alongside the commercials.

But what it will ultimately lead to, is a spectacular JLo performance at the AMA’s. As we mentioned before, she’s paying a special tribute to legend Celia Cruz, so expect all kinds of bells and whistles during Sunday’s show!
